What is Chabad Downtown Brooklyn?
Matza ball soup on Friday night. The light in a child's eye when he watches the kindling of a public Menorah. A helping hand in times of need. Chabad is a home for every Jew in Downtown Brooklyn.
We also serve as a base for young people, singles, and families, providing a sense of community, opportunities to connect with other Jews, and the ability to celebrate holidays together.
We are dedicated to serving as a beacon of light - and now we’re asking for your support to help us build a bright, thriving Jewish future, together.
How does a Match Campaign work?
Running an operation like Chabad of Downtown Brooklyn’s requires a major investment of time, energy, and capital. While our Rabbi, Rebbetzin, and family work tirelessly to ensure that no Jew is left behind, the day-to-day expenses of operating a Chabad center can be daunting. Rather than charging membership fees or exorbitant event prices, which could alienate some people, we rely on the generosity of the community that we serve. To that end, a few generous donors have come forward with a proposal to help Chabad thrive this year. They will each donate significantly to our center, provided that it is matched by an equal donation from you, our community. Right now, your dollar will have DOUBLE the impact!
